How to dress better and more creatively over 40?
I'thou having rather a busy solar day tomorrow. I'm going to the pilus dresser, will need to do some shopping and volition also attend a PR role.
I'k withal jet lagged so I will have trouble dragging myself out of the bed in the morn.
In the evenings I experience quite energetic and that'due south the time I employ to get a lot of my work done. This morning (as I write this) I also had to rush abroad and woke up as well belatedly.
Which left me exactly with twoscore min to shower, dress, put makeup on, collect my things etc. Not a great feeling!
Then this night, I thought it would be all-time to set myself better. Why not choose my outfit for tomorrow this evening? And I'yard and so glad I did.
I take nil to wear!
This morning time I had the typical dilemma of many a xl+ woman.
What will I vesture (I have nil dainty to habiliment!).
Which, as you all know, is not true. I have a closet full of gorgeous dress, so how can I possibly feel that I have zilch to vesture? The issue is that I become easily bored with my outfits. If I have worn combinations before, I am not so attracted to them anymore.
Past getting prepared earlier for the solar day ahead, I had some time to recall on how I could possibly create new combinations with the apparel that I already take.
I tried on a recently bought asymmetric striped wearing apparel, but could non notice anything to pair it with today.
Then I thought nigh an other 'resolution' I recently made, which is to vesture more of my nicer wearing apparel (that inappreciably always get worn). So I grabbed my silk brim and paired information technology every bit I usually practice with a top in the same fabric and color.
Do something different with your outfits
Acceptable, yes. Exciting, no. Creative, no.
And then I went dorsum to my closet and started browsing for other tops and finally came upward with a, to me, perfect casual top.
This style the outfit would be less formal, more trendy and combined with crimson, would fit in with the graphical trend that I love so much. Plus I got to 'wear' my new red handbag.
Now, this outfit only came to being because I took the fourth dimension to think virtually it, think outside the box and 'strength' myself to combine my bottom with a different top. I frequently don't make that time for day to mean solar day life, and then I commonly stop upward rushing in the morning and step out in something rather tedious.
How do you prepare for dressing?
So perhaps all you smart ladies are already doing this, but my tip is to really accept some fourth dimension the day earlier and think virtually how you can be creative with clothes.
You already have then much in your cupboard, and new items may very well go perfect with something that has been in your cupboard for ages. Make information technology a addiction, to plan your dress the evening before!
I was very happy with the outfit I came up with and surely had a lot more fun with this, then I would have had in my matchy matchy outfit.
I actually institute that I also really like this superlative with 1 of my older denim skirts. A fleck more casual and I'k non sure which outfit I like all-time.
